CHEVINGTON VILLAGE

Under the existing St Edmundsbury Local Plan (Vision 2031) Chevington is designated as an "infill village" with only a limited range of services and facilities. In these villages only small scale infill development of five homes or less within the designated housing settlement boundary would normally be permitted.

Planning applications affecting the village are decided by West Suffolk District Council as the designated "Planning Authority". Applications affecting land or property within Chevington Civil Parish are initially referred to the Parish Council for comment, as a statutory consultee. The Parish Council resolved at a meeting on 19 January 2016 that henceforth, brief details of all planning applications referred for comment would be published on this website. The documents associated with each of the applications can be viewed on the West Suffolk website and typing in reference number.

Confirmation of the Parish Council's opinion in each case will be reported at meetings and published in the minutes of those meetings.
